Floral Beaded Gerdans by KORALI

Poppies, daisies, sunflowers, roses and other botanical motifs take on a distinctive character when recreated in beadwork. Flowers can become the central element of a composition, form a repeating pattern or be combined with leaves, geometric details and contrasting backgrounds.

This collection brings together gerdans with different flowers, color palettes and ornamental compositions. You can choose an expressive design with prominent floral elements or a more restrained piece in which botanical details become part of a broader pattern.

Each KORALI gerdan is handmade. Exact materials, dimensions, colors and other specifications are provided on the individual product page.

Flowers and Botanical Motifs in Gerdan Designs

The character of a floral pattern depends on the shape of its elements, their arrangement and the combination of colors. Large contrasting flowers create a stronger visual accent, while smaller repeating motifs can give the composition a lighter and more rhythmic appearance.

Depending on the design, botanical elements may be set against light, dark or colorful backgrounds. This affects both the appearance of the pattern itself and the way the gerdan works with different clothing.

When choosing a design, consider the complete composition: its main floral motif, additional details, color palette, shape and proportions.

Poppies, Daisies, Roses, Sunflowers and Viburnum Motifs

Different botanical themes make it possible to create gerdans with noticeably different characters even within the same floral collection.

Poppy gerdans have their own KORALI collection, featuring designs in which poppies are among the defining elements of the beadwork. The flowers may form a prominent focal point or repeat throughout a more detailed ornamental composition.

Other designs feature daisies, roses, sunflowers and various floral elements. The collection also includes botanical compositions inspired by viburnum, where berries, leaves and complementary details shape the overall pattern.

This variety makes it possible to choose a gerdan not only by its color or shape, but also by the botanical motif that best suits your personal style.

Floral Gerdans with a Vyshyvanka

Botanical beadwork pairs naturally with Ukrainian embroidered shirts and dresses. To create a cohesive combination, look for shades that appear in both the embroidery and the jewelry without trying to match the two patterns exactly.

A vyshyvanka with rich floral embroidery can be balanced with a more restrained beaded composition. With minimalist embroidery, a more expressive floral gerdan can become one of the main accents of the outfit.

The background color of the clothing also influences the overall effect. Dark and saturated beadwork stands out clearly against light fabric, while lighter and contrasting elements can become particularly noticeable against darker clothing.

How to Style a Floral Gerdan

Floral beadwork is not limited to traditional Ukrainian clothing. A gerdan with flowers can also work as a distinctive decorative element in a contemporary wardrobe.

Floral gerdans can be styled with:

  • vyshyvankas and embroidered dresses;
  • white and ivory shirts;
  • monochromatic dresses;
  • linen clothing;
  • turtlenecks and minimalist tops;
  • blazers and suits;
  • contemporary outfits with Ukrainian-inspired details.

Monochromatic clothing creates a calm background that allows the flowers, color transitions and smaller details of the beadwork to stand out. For a more coordinated look, one of the shades in the gerdan can be repeated elsewhere in the outfit.

How to Choose a Gerdan with Flowers

Start with the floral motif itself. Large flowers create a more noticeable visual accent, while smaller botanical elements can appear more understated and may be easier to combine with a wider range of clothing.

Next, consider the color palette. If you are choosing a gerdan for a particular vyshyvanka, shirt or dress, compare the primary and secondary colors of the beadwork with the shades already present in the garment.

Shape and proportions are equally important. Different types of gerdans sit differently on the chest and interact with necklines in different ways, so check the photographs and specifications of the individual design before ordering.

Handmade Floral Gerdans

Creating petals, leaves and other botanical details from small beads requires precise placement of individual elements within the pattern. Gradually, separate areas of color form a complete composition and define the appearance of the finished ornament.

For designs made with Czech beads, KORALI uses Preciosa, while pieces made with Japanese beads use Miyuki. Exact materials are listed in the specifications of each individual gerdan.

If the selected design is not currently in stock, the approximate production time is 10–14 days.

Custom Sizing

The price shown on the website applies to the standard size specified in the characteristics of the particular design. If you require a different size, the possibility and cost of custom production should be confirmed before placing an order.

Whether the dimensions can be changed depends on the construction and floral pattern of the selected piece, so individual requests are considered separately.

A Floral Gerdan as a Gift

A botanical design makes it possible to choose a piece according to the recipient's favorite flowers, colors and personal style. A handmade floral gerdan can be given for a birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, anniversary or another special occasion.

All KORALI jewelry is sent in complimentary gift packaging. An exclusive wooden jewelry box can also be purchased separately for a more distinctive presentation.

If you are unsure which floral motif or color palette to choose, a KORALI gift certificate allows the recipient to select their favorite piece themselves.

How to Care for a Beaded Gerdan

To help preserve the appearance of the jewelry, avoid prolonged contact with water, perfume, cosmetics and household chemicals. Apply skincare products and fragrances before putting on the gerdan.

Store the piece separately from other accessories to reduce the risk of tangling, friction and mechanical damage. Avoid aggressive chemical cleaners when caring for beadwork.
